Dance mania!

We are on a bit of a health kick in this house at the moment! Both rather bored of slogging round the gym we were keen to find a more enjoyable form of exercise - so we put on our dancing shoes......
We have been taking swing jive dance lessons for some time and were keen to branch out into the world of Lindy Hop. You can see our new teachers in action below. We obviously have quite some way to go as our first class was just last week!



But I have to say that for me, dancing beats endlessly pounding on all those machines at the gym hands down. It really is a fun and sociable way of taking exercise. And because its fun it doesn’t seem like such hard work.

Lessons tend to break things down in such a way that even those of you who think you may have two left feet could be tripping the light fantastic in no time! You can find a dance for just about any kind of music you like and there are lots of different options listed here.

I still enjoy a leisurely swim or the buzz of a good circuits or body pump class. But dancing is my favourite right now!
